Max Baer (February 11, 1909 – November 21, 1959) was a famous American boxer of the 1930s, one-time Boxing Heavyweight Champion of the World, and actor. He was a fighter of Jewish descent who defeated Adolf Hitler's German favorite, Max Schmeling, before going down to the "Cinderella Man", Jim Braddock.
